Child monks take their love for football to new heights at the Dechen Phodrang Monastery in Bhutan. The monastery, situated on a steep hill overlooking Bhutan’s capital Thimphu, is home to some of the poorest children in the country. Like many others in Bhutan, these children do not have access to sports equipment or facilities. UNICEF Bhutan is working on sports for development programmes with the government as part of its efforts to provide quality education to these children.
