WFPSince 1974, the World Food Programme has been working with the Government to implement school feeding programme to combat malnutrition, increase school enrolment and reduce gender and economic inequality. While WFP continues to provide meals to about 20,000 school children in the country, the focus is now more on capacity development of the government counterparts to ensure the sustainability of the programme once WFP hands over to the government by the end of 2018.
