Aum Karma Hamu Dorjee is currently the Chairperson of the Royal
Civil Service Commission. She has over 26 years experience in the public
sector. She joined the civil service in 1993. Prior to being appointed a the
Chairperson, she served as Commissioner for Royal Civil Service Commission.
Aum Karma has a Master’s degree in Local and Regional Development from
the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague.

that promotes education, social entrepreneurship and Bhutan’s culture and tradition
as well as the Shejun Agency for Bhutan’s Cultural Documentation and Research.

Kinlay T Dorji is a young architect running an architectural studio Yalnik Architects
and writes about Bhutanese architecture on his Instagram page bhutanness. He graduated
from Assumption University in Thailand, School of Architecture AR 11; after graduation,
he worked with SODA Thailand in Bangkok, returning home working with Gandhara
Design Bhutan and recently started running his own practice as Yalnik Architects and BhutanNess Architecture.

Dasho Kinley Dorji (Why discuss Media and Development?)
Dasho Kinley Dorji is the Editor of the Druk Journal. He has worked in the Bhutanese media for more than three decades, served as Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Communication seven years, and retired in June 2016. As a young pensioner, he plans to write about life around him. Dasho Kinley will be Bhutan Dialogue’s first guest on October 12th, 2017. Dasho Kinley Dorji and Dr. Karma Phuntso will be discussing the topic “Why discuss Media and Development?”
