Intern (Women’s Leadership Summit):
UN Bhutan will support a Women’s Leadership Summit on March 8, 2021, that will bring together aspiring female leaders from across the country. These women will be diverse in age groups and backgrounds and will discuss key issues related to women in politics and leadership roles. ATTENTION FILM MAKERS
The 2019 SDGs in Action Film Festival is now open!
Coordinated by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs’ Division for SDGs, the Festival seeks short films that highlight how people and organizations around the world are taking action for the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Entries will be accepted in the following categories for 2019:
• Protecting our planet
• Reducing inequalities
• Building peace
• Ensuring quality education and jobs
• Young Filmmaker (24 years old or younger)
• SDGs in Virtual Reality/360 degrees (films 2 minutes or less)
The top video in each category will be shown at the SDGs in Action Film Festival in July 2019 at or near UN Headquarters in New York, with the filmmakers invited to attend and participate in Festival-related activities. Entries will be accepted here through 26 April:

The UNDP Administrator, Achim Steiner, will be in the country to co-chair the 14th Round Table Meeting (RTM) with the Lyonpo Dr. Tandin Dorji, Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Royal Government of Bhutan which will take place in Thimphu from 12-14 March 2019.
The RTM, organized by the Royal Government and in collaboration with United Nations in Bhutan, is the highest forum for policy dialogue.
